We are the only company to date to have commercialized the Neumag spunbonded technology in the area of low basis weight, low denier nonwovens for the hygiene market. We have built on the experience gained with our 5 meter wide SMS line in Italy and will be commissioning the world’s largest SMS line, at 7 meters wide, in the first half of 2008. We have just started up the world’s first fully in-line SPC multilayer hydroentangling line at our plant in Aschersleben, Germany ; this technology allows us to combine spunbonded, airlaid pulp and carded nonwovens in a most flexible and innovative way to meet the consumer needs of tomorrow.
